When bridal season strikes, a henna artist can sometimes find themselves booked for bridal mehndi within 24 hours. It’s not ideal – but it is possible! There’s just enough time to mix up a fresh new batch of henna paste and for deposits and contracts to be exchanged. Even a quick discussion regarding styles and coverage preferred!
In this week’s case, my lovely (and very chilled out bride) had not yet come across anything specific for her bridal design. She knew she wanted something traditionally coverage on her inside arms and feet, but light on the back of her hands. As somebody who had seldom followed traditional styles, she was also keen to avoid truly dense coverage as per “the brown glove of henna”. Her home was so lovely and relaxed, it really allowed for some creative thinking to fall from my cones.
Here are the results:
We were both over the moon with the final result, and even had time to ensure full aftercare including sealant spray and wrapping of the henna. All to ensure maximum depth of colour for her wedding in 3 days time.
Many thanks to Safina for having me as part of the special bridal preparations. Wishing you and your husband a wonderful wedding day. May you both be blessed with much joy and happiness in the journey of your lives together <3
