This doesn’t happen often, but I have ONE remaining 100g airtight, foil pack of jagua powder. Unlike the pure jagua powder, this product is already combined with a thickening agent (emulsifier – xanthan gum) so you don’t need to think about how to attain the right gel texture. All you need to do is combine it with your choice of essential oil (I recommend cajeput or eucalyptus), and water – leave it to emulsify for 15 minutes, and your jagua gel is ready to go!
This product has been forage harvest by the Jagua Ink team in the Darien Gap, Panama. I just love the work that is done by this organisation to empower the indigenous communities to continue making a living as part of a global trade whilst maintaining their culture and values. You can read my gushing blog post all about them here.
